in my experience (as a person that has gained and lost huge amounts of weight)
the best way is to jog every morning (5 days a week) for 20 mins, sprinting for the first and last 30 seconds of it. For diet I eat mostly beef jerky, tofu, chicken breast wraps (in tortilla with just salt and herbs), steak, salmon. Drink tea or Diet Coke. Once a week half a day and use it as 'cheating' time where you can have a burger, KFC or whatever and a few sweets.
Follow this pattern and you'll lose about 0.2 of a kilo every couple of days.
