I thought I should introduce myself. I am from Canada, and I am a very eclectic person. I have one business with four separate arms which encompass design work for corporations, editing for writers, developing educational tools - lesson plans, unit studies, and for more hands-on work, I create jewelry and unique gifts. I also volunteer with several online communities, including as a community TA for a Coursera course, facilitating a short story workshop, and moderating for a writing website. On top of all that, I also have a job in the retail industry (30-35 hours a week on average), and I have seven children (only two at home now). I used to home educate my children, but we put them into the school system in grade nine, and the youngest will be entering grade eleven in the fall.

As if that isn't enough to keep me busy, the local community theatre group is trying to recruit me. What do you think? Should I pursue that as well?

Wow yes you do indeed sound very busy but that can be a good thing to have numerous activities to look forward too. If you are interested in theater why not? But then again I wouldn't want so much on my plate. Also welcome fellow Canadian I am from Canada too
