Hello,

You may, or may not, know that I started https://shout.red as an experiment to see whether ForumCoiners and members of ForumPromotion would like a non-discord chat option.

Although the site has not taken off, I STILL believe the need is there. The chatroom simply needs a dedicated individual to initiate conversation and I do not spend nearly enough time online.

Therefore... I'm giving this away for free if anyone would like it. I will FREELY transfer the domain to a namecheap account (free to signup) and will attempt to transfer the hosting to you (costs $5 a year).

If you would like to take this project on... please let me know below:

1. What improvements would you make to shout.red?
2. Would you keep this open as a chatroom for FC/ FC+FP or something else?

I like the concept but the format seems confusing. I would like to have a members section where you can see who is on the site. Also an invite your friends to the site link.

Thanks metsrock! That sounds interesting. I do think an invite system would be quite cool.

If I was to do this, How much would this cost per year and how would I add features to it like a member section . Also what would the name be of the site?

The cost would be the domain + the hosting. I put this on the cheapest hosting that I could find that is still good.
Domain: $13.88/yr
Hosting: $5/yr

The name of the site can be whatever you would like it to be. It would be your site fully. I would just transfer everything to you for free.

As for adding features.... You would either need to pick a different software, find plugins or add them yourself. The site runs https://justblab.com/ free AX version. There are other free chatroom software, you could make a more "live" forum using a forum software and plugins, you could use wordpress or there are some really amazing paid options around (with heaps of cool features e.g. https://boomcoding.com/boombox/).

thanks sam. Give me a few days to run some thoughts . I have a vision of what I want to do, I just have to know if it is possible.

Well sam after serious consideration, I have decided not to move forward with the chatroom at the time. Thank you for the idea and the thought of running a successful chatroom or forum would be a great accomplishment . I always enjoy the time I have on forumcoin as it is very successful and I have met a lot of great people here you included. Have an awesome weekend.
