Trading212 is a highly reputable site. I was able to get stock from HP that was valued at £8.48 (screenshot below). If you're luckier than me, you may get some better stock. You need to hold the stock for 3 days, after which you can sell it and take the money out. Or you can keep it on there and hope it increases in value.
You will need to verify your identify and deposit £1/$1 to get the free share. But it's still a profit no matter what stock you get!
