Description: Select Your Character is a forum dedicated to both gaming and role play. SYC is a forum established back in April this year and has ever since been a large project consistently worked on by staff members. We allow users to role play to their heart's content, post character applications, world ideas and use our role play interest check system, whilst discussing games, read reviews and gaming news and even play games with the SYC community on steam.

Select Your Character is indeed a forum. However, I'm not sure what you mean by 'what the gameplay is like', sorry.

Have you checked out this topic by any chance? It outlines what the IRC is and how you can get there.

At Select Your Character you won't need to worry too much about activity and quality in typing. Also, we have a Steam group and we're planning on having lots of events for it - since I assume you're a Steam gamer?

In under two weeks, Select Your Character has reached its first major posting milestone of 1000 posts! We've also amassed over 150 topics and we're rapidly approaching 50 members. The official announcement on SYC can be found here.

It's been three weeks since the launch of Select Your Character and we've amassed a total of 1616 posts, 43 members and 211 topics so far. We've also opened up our first bi-monthly writing competition and our tic-tac-toe tournament has just about come to an end.

At Select Your Character you won't need to worry too much about activity and quality in typing. Also, we have a Steam group and we're planning on having lots of events for it - since I assume you're a Steam gamer?

Of course i am a steam gamer but is the same thing with groups, im in a few but im not active there.
