Save Money by Cooking with Electricity

Postby JASPREET » 21 Jan 2023, 12:15

In India and in many parts of the world most people prefer to cook over a Liquified Petroleum Gas more popularly known as LPG cylinder which is expensive and takes a lot of time in cooking even basic dishes but if you opt for cooking with the help of electricity then it will be a better and cheaper option and will save time and that time saved can be used to work so your earnings and savings will be more. but you need to make sure you have electricity available 24 hours or have some backup. <3

At my mother's house there is a wood stove, you can cook several pots at the same time and there is even a great oven for making roasts and cakes. It is the most economical way to cook.

Depends if electricity is cheaper or gas. In India, many parts use chulha, they use sticks.

My father drinks 100% home boiled water. And so does the entire family staying with him. You can estimate how much that would have amounted to if he had to use cooking gas for all of those boiling of water.

This would not work if you are using a Nigerian prepaid meter. It is so expensive. The only reasonable thing you could do is to use firewood.

In my country the prices of electricity for cooking is very expensive. I think it has no difference to the cost of the lpg cylinder.

It depends on the cost of electricity per unit. If the cost if electricity is cheaper in your country, then cooking with electric stoves is just the best option.

With the high rates that domestic gas is sold now, I think cooking with electricity might be cheaper considering the dollar per minute cost of the two.

In this aspect we are still far behind from so many countries as electricity is much more expensive here, once if we try to convert our cooking on it we will remain nowhere.

Yes if you have light you can go ahead than using gas. Gas now in Nigeria is very expensive 1200 naira per kg.

Yes this is a great way to save money on cooking gas but the issue over here is that we do not have a stable supply of electricity.

I actually used electricity to cook in campus with a coiled cooker. Helped me so much as we used to have good electricity supply. Used to preserve 1kg of gas cylinder for four months.
