(Oh, I had "excuses out the wazoo!" like 'I'm going to be a big star (of stage, screen & sound)!' or 'I'm going to win FORTUNES in damages from my near-death!' or 'my grandfather was one of the founding engineers of Fred Jones (Ford) Manufacturing, shouldn't I have vast stores of inheritance coming in soon?' etc.).
But most 'kids' should have "an income-plan" before they get out of high-school---I imagine it's something like 'keep working this minimum-wage job until either they promote me to a higher-wage position THERE or something more profitable comes along.'
But that gets me into 'why I don't HAVE such a job today'---I live in a city that is apparently "doomed" to 'urban sprawl'---here I'm talking about 'the design given to a city (particularly one with a lot of land-area like mine), where "you've got to have a car" to get "anywhere different" (particularly 'from home to work,' but also 'from home to dining or -to public events or -to entertainments (live bands, movie-theaters, plays, etc.)')'.
Sure, now we've got the Internet--where I can do my '3 hours worth of work out of the 8 hours we're hired-for' (which is how much "work" they get out of "9-to-5" employees now)--but who's gonna pay me above-average payment-rates to stay at home for those hours & do "whatever I feel like doing (plus a little work sometimes)?"

It is not something that is rocket science to create. It is something that just requires you to sit down and draw up the plan.eldavis wrote:Seriously working towards creating one pretty soon though, an effective one.
