I can vouch for that. We had our six kids 3 years apart and it did help a lot.

Since age is no longer creeping up on me, but rushing in like an NFL ball carrier on 4th down from the 1 yard line. it's very simple.

I made a mistake and had two kids in two years. I can confirm without a doubt that it has not been a rosy journey. Spacing of kids gives financial leverage.

I have two kids, 4 years apart. When I look back I think I took the right decision waiting 4 years to have my second child, my son started kindergarten, I stayed 6 months with the baby at home and then I worked just 4 hours a day for a year. During the hours when I was at work, my mother stayed with the baby, it was a great help she gave me.

The way we saved money in MY family---hand-me-downs. And not just 'from oldest sibling (that's me) to younger,' but from older cousins (where I got most of my clothes  ).

This way you are also making sure that the mother is not burdened with too much work because handling even a single kid is tough

Exactly you don't need to over burden the mother as well with child spacing. you would be saving money as well.

Planning children ( when you want them and how many can you afford) is a big part of your financial planning. We planned our children when we thought we were financially stable to have the responsibility. I didn't want to take frequent breaks from work, so I went to have them just two and half years apart. So, our spacing would depend on our situation and preferences.

Not having more than 1 kid can also save money and many parents are going this way now

Exactly my thought we need to avoid over population by doing what is right like having less numbers of kids to care for.

Yes my parents had five kids. They spaced them for four years apart. It has really helped them in bringing up all of us.

These days many don't want to have children. They start a family when they think they are financially stable. I have seen many young couples going for adoption these days. This would be a personal choice. But I guess that along with doing a noble job of providing a loving family to the Child who needs it, you also save money. Pregnancy and childbirth also need a lot of care and money.

Parents are smart now. They know it's expensive to raise kids and education is so expensive in our parts

Wrong. "Schooling" is getting expensive. The education is free.

And you cannot teach kids at home so you need to send them to school so ultimately it's education

Nope; my grandfather never passed 8th grade (out of America's 12 year schooling-program), but the quality of his worksmanship matched that 3 degreed engineers! Education is 'taking what you observe & making something of it." Reminds me that Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and many other successful people never finished college.

Oh, 'schooling' is a wealth of material to draw from (with lots of training to educate with); but ... after high-school, the main reason to get more 'schooling' (outside of medical school) is 'so you can be a teacher.'
