Don't purchase in installment

Postby Yugocean » 06 Apr 2023, 04:50

Avoid making installment purchases. When you pay for something in instalments, interest will exceed the original purchase price, moreover, you have no idea how long the guarantee of item will protect you till you buy the product. You will have to put off the purchase if you are unable to buy at a specific time, and wait until you afford the item.

Items with full warranties and 0% interest are not covered by this concept.

I 100% agree with this and we shouldn't buy things that we cannot afford

I always go for No cost Emi now. It suits my style of purchase and instead of paying in one go I can pay in easy installments

You are right. Buying installment products can make you work 24 hours just because you want to pay the remaining balance.

Installmental purchases are like loans. They come with a price which is interest.

Yeah instalment payment comes with interest because you would pay more than you should on a cash payment

In the past, I liked to buy an appliance through installment. I was young at that time and never had any idea of the importance of financial literacy. This time, I buy anything in cash. Purchasing through installment charges us high.

Purchasing items is best done at once. When you go ahead to buy installmentally, you stand a high risk of payment with interest. You'd end up paying almost twice the original amount that is if not more than that.

This is one of the reasons I like buying making full payments for goods bought, the extras being paid for could have been saved or used for other purpose.

That's right, I also don't like buying goods with a credit system, I'd better save up before buying it. If it is urgent because the item was very important, I will borrow money from you to buy it in cash, and repay the debt to you without interest. :D

The reason why you should not purchase on installment is that it comes with extra expenses.

I have never bought anything in which i had to pay in installments though, i have come across some offers like this but i do not accept them. If i do not have the needed capital to buy what i want at the moment, i would rather wait till i have it.

That's right I agree with you. I will also do the same as you. Life will be more fun if we don't think about installments every month. :D

I hate installmental purchases. Instead of buying through installments, I take the patience, save up and buy. Most of these installmental purchases are always double the price of a one time payment.

I purchased through installment in the past. I purchased a senior-size cornet set. I paid for it in 6 months.

Most times, people are made to see the good side of paying installmentally and not the other side and in most cases you might be required to pay half of the total cost before going away with the product
