When you find it hard to save.

Postby kennysplash » 04 Aug 2023, 05:01

The mistake many people make is trying to save after spending a great deal of their income. The best way to go about it is saving first then, then planning your expenses on what is left. This strategy will help you to save early on when you still have the opportunity. Saving should come first, not expenses.

If you find it hard, activate automated savings deductions on your banking app. It would save you the stress of having to fight with yourself in order to save.

You would need to start your savings journey with a very small amount that you won't feel. Even if it is 10 cents, start with that. When you see what you have been able to accumulate, you would be motivated to do more.

The sad reality is families who can only count on a minimum salary (or less) for the entire household and in addition they support unemployed sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews and nieces and sometimes the unemployed friends of these latter too. It happens to third-aged people in my country. How to save in such conditions? Such a third-aged cannot even pay their bills...

One important thing to consider is that it is not always easy to save, you just have to go above and beyond to save!

I agree with you, it is not easy to save but one need to put the energy and efforts to see this happens.

The compulsory medicines one of my nieces uses costs 300 reais per box and she only gets a minimum pension for disabled from the government. Impossible to live if she would have to pay for a rent and bills instead of staying with her mother. She would have to choose between starving or suspend treatment and both options would lead her to dye soon. How to save a single penny in such conditions?

I always set aside some amount for my saving from my salary, but now that I have my own business, my saving derives from my business profit weekly.

You would need to convince yourself on the reason why you need to save. I think that can help motivate you to save.

Nowadays I am finding it too hard to save because expenses increased many folds and it becomes too difficult to meet with those expenses, the money which I am earning is not sufficient for my expenditure.

It is becoming harder to save money in this present time due to the higher inflation rate.

This is absolutely right and works fine, saving first then spending what's left helps you cut down unnecessary things from your list and also gives you the ability to check other places for lesser price.

It's completely normal to find saving difficult at times. Maybe we could brainstorm some budgeting strategies or explore ways to increase your income? Remember, small steps can make a big difference over time.

Immediately the money touched your hand, the best thing to do is to save first and be disciplined with it.

If you don't have resolve, you would still use the money even when it is in the account.

When a third aged in my former country only receives a minimum governmental pension of 300 euros, knowing the minimum renting apartment rate is 450 euros (this is usually the minimum rent for an one-room apartment, composed of a kitchen with a bed and a bathroom), no way to save. What to save?
