So how do you define people that really need the food?Jem Smith wrote:Sounds like you are trolling, but that food is for people who actually need it, not people who just don't feel like paying for food.

You are right. My church offers free food every Sundays after service but I don't ever use it because I can afford food reasonably.Jem Smith wrote:Nsikan wrote:So how do you define people that really need the food?Jem Smith wrote:Sounds like you are trolling, but that food is for people who actually need it, not people who just don't feel like paying for food.
It's subjective of course, but the impression I get from Mystic's posts is that he asks for things for free just because he doesn't want to pay from them, not because he needs them.
If say, someone has lost their job and can't afford to both pay the rent and shop for groceries, I'd say they're generally in need of the help. If they just don't want to pay for their groceries even though they could afford to without making any actual sacrifices, not so much.

if there are so many people that want to get food from the food bank, it will definitely dry up.Nsikan wrote:The food bank would just dry up in two days lol.Cuddy wrote:It is in the best interest of each and every individual to go to the food bank to get free foods so that they can save enough money.

they are not referring to banks where we deposit money or borrow, but to food banks that are dedicated to solidarity.

This is very true, in the mosque there is also free food on certain days. Not every day, but often.
