In my opinion, leftover food can still be eaten the next day and is a good way to save money because we don't have to spend more money to buy food.

To keep leftovers, you either need to cook a lot, or eat much less. Re-heating decrease nutritions.

My neighbor has a friend who gives her food that is a little outdated.

My neighbor goes through the groceries and takes what she wants.

Then, my neighbor gives the rest to me.

My roommates refuse to consume such groceries!

More for me!

Examples are, bread, bagels, English muffins, ciabatta, baked corn tortilla chips, donuts and pound cake!

I don't throw away leftovers. I often add new ingredients to the leftovers and make a new dish. That I won't feel bored eating the same dish and at the same time saves some money.

I had 2 bad experiences last week.

The cafe where I used to work, sent home a ton of hot dogs. They made me have stomach aches.

Then, we had a jar of Jif's peanut butter from Sam's Club which made me sick.

Everything else was fine. Not sure why those 2 particular things.

This would be very beneficial if you learn to preserve leftover foods very well. Cover them well and keep in a refrigerator. You can still eat them again to save money.

Yep, leftovers are good. I try to use them up within 3 days though. It's not good to keep them for too long unless you freeze them.

I love leftovers! An example would be soup. Another example would be pizza. Then, any type of pasta or salad!

Leftover stews get more delicious the next day. A host of other delicacies too get better with time after cooking. I eat leftovers really much.

I don't even classify a food I cooked on a previous day as leftover. It is still fresh food to me from my own point of view and I eat it with joy.

Feeding is about the highest thing that saps finances. And if it means eating fresh food everyday would even make it over bloated, I would better do yesterday's food.

This savings method of repurposing leftovers for breakfast can be a great way to stretch your meals and save money. By planning ahead and utilising the food you already have, you essentially create two meals out of one.

I eat foods that have lasted for four days if that is what is available to eat provided it was well refrigerated.
