I am not rich but there are some items that I prefer to spend a little bit more because quality is better, when it comes to shoes, house appliances, coats, and so on, I prefer to spend more to have a more durable and good quality product. I don't know if this is considered a luxury but, for me, it is a way to save money because if things last for some year you will save money as you don't need to buy it every year.
