I always prefer cooking my own food at home. I did forgotten about the fact that I can save money while doing it at home.

I usually eat at home, because I usually cook whatever I want myself.

I would rather do everything myself.

I am the same, I prefer to cook my meals, this way I control the ingredients I use, the way food is cooked, and the hygiene of preparing the meals. Call me crazy but I don't trust restaurants at all.

I have an exception...

If one is on a diet, I find microwave freezer meals to be very good in losing weight.

Such freezers meals may be found at Dollar Tree for $1.25 each.

Doing so should safe you tons of money in groceries.

The truth of the matter is dinning out is actually a lot more. Stressful than when you decide to eat at home. Dinning out means you would be spending on transportation. Even when it is your personal car, there is still the issue of fuel. Then again you have to worry about what to wear and you are paying for a dish you can only eat once. If you need more, you would have to pay for another.

In some restaurants, the doses are very small already with the idea of customers repeating and thus paying double. The restaurant is a business, they have strategies to make us spend more and take advantage of everything, what stays on the plates is money for them.

That's true, dinning in is a less stressful. You don't have to worry about what to wear, where to go to and so on.

It depends on where you are dinning out at. We have local restaurants in my place that doesn't have much sophistication. Dining out at such places might be cheaper than cooking and eating at home.

I have evaluated and discovered that there are a few ocassions when dining out becomes cheaper. Think of a kind of food that takes so much money to prepare. If you dine out, you just pay for a small fraction of it.

I still think that all-you-can-eat buffets are the way to go!

Other than that? Eat at home!

Right now, I am about ready to have leftover Crock-Pot lasagna that you cannot find at a restaurant! ;)

Pretty much true in that aspect. But having to spend time and efforts cooking is a thing. But for financial management, it's better to dine in.
