I am not implying it at all. I am stating it as a fact in some cases. Here in the US, you can even be charged with a crime and or be fired for taking junk from the trash dumpster for personal use in some places. That policy is specifically because some employees will find some reason to say some product is junk and toss it in the trash only to go back after work to steal it from the dumpster. They have their reasons. It depends on the policies of each employer.
If you use your office supplies for personal use, it is flat out stealing. If you do your own work while on the clock, you are stealing the time they pay you for. Ask your employer for permission first before snagging office supplies for personal use. Some employers have no issue with using office equipment or taking office supplies for personal use. Most will not pay you to do your own work on office time. There are employers who will consider theft of office supplies as a valid reason to fire you. Some will consider the theft as a crime.
All I am saying is to ask first to make sure your employer does not consider it a crime and accepts your petty pilfering as an unspoken perk.
