Many years ago, I worked in a repair service network. There were more than 65 different companies involved. Each repaired some specialty item but each were unique. (sewing machines, TVs, computers, appliances, restaurant equipment, tools, electronics, musical instruments, etc.)
The main thing I learned from that experience is that the primary reason any item that seemed to need repairs was simply that it needed to be cleaned and lubed as required. More than 95% of all items that came in for repairs never needed any parts no matter what is it; just cleaning. It applies to almost everything you own. Clean it!
