The private schools manipulate the results of pupils and students to present a nice picture to the parents.

I wish that our public schools were good and could be at par with the private schools. A lot has improved in recent years but then still it's a long way before they could be compared to private institutions. But yes, we do see students from public schools also doing great in life.

The only challenge with public schools is indiscipline. As for academic standards, I believe they are even better than private schools.

That is so true, and it is blatant in my country. I have a friend whose son had miserable grades at school and she decided to change him to a private school, where he had good grades, but private schools here only teach up to the 9th grade, when he went back to public school to complete secondary school, he returned getting miserable grades. At the private school, the grades were inflated and she had to put him in private classes/tutoring so he could get average grades in the public school. All classmates who have always been to public school have better grades.

She's better now.

Yep, that's negligence. You should have been informed straight away.

I taught in a private school. The owners of private schools see it as a pure business which they have to do everything to keep selling their market. I was told to manipulate the results by the ownereso that the parents would not withdraw the kids.

Private schools is a business, they don't care about the quality of their education, they only care about the money they can earn. It is a shame that parents don't understand this.

You won't blame parents because like every other business, they invest so much in packaging to away parents. A public school is where you can test tye real academic prowess of a child.

At the end of the day, these kids suffer the consequences of this. I don't seem to understand why the world is so capitalistic. At the end of the day, parents would have to spend money on remedial classes.

I am currently teaching one buy extra lessons because the private school the boy attended was painting a positive picture for the parents but the boy can't pass a university entrance examination. The parents are paying me extra money to teach the boy from scratch again.

It is in public schools that you can truly evaluate the real performance of your kids because the teachers don't have to patronize you. And it is far cheaper.

We are not outrightly saying that private schools are bad. Some are good but most are business empires. Why waste money in a private school that is run as a business empire than allowing your kid to stay true by attending a public school which is cheaper ot free sometimes.

Even if you have a hatred for public schools because of the level of negligence by staff and officials there, one can try Mission schools. They give that balance and cost effectiveness. Mission schools are not as expensive as a private individual owned school since they are not meant for profits.

Mission schools used to be cheap but now now again. They are cheaper than most private schools though and provide close to the monitoring anf discipline in private schools.

Yesh I agree with you, some public schools standard is very poor. You don't have to waste the kids time enrolling them. in these schools. But they do save cost.

In public schools, there are not good facility for learning. Even they're provided by government, they soon become dilapidated because no one cares about maintaining it. Send the kids to private schools to give them a good environment.

Yes I agree with you, you just have to help them out with private schools but if you don't have then you can try the public schools.

I won't do a public school for my child. It is a huge risk. With the way private schools are much now, they have become cheaper. Just that most of us want elite schools which we can't afford.

If you want your child to attend a public school, send that child to specialized ones like Air force High School, or Navy High School. The standard in these schools are higher than premium private schools. And they are very cheap too.
