I love the garden part. It helps you save money on food which is very important.Jem Smith wrote:The trouble with that is that if you work in a city, usually it's much more expensive to live near the city center than further out. My partner commutes to a different city each day and that's still much cheaper than it would be for us to rent near his work. We also wouldn't be able to have a house with a garden if we lived in the city, so we couldn't keep chickens or grow vegetables and fruit.
Everything you said is quite true. But you can stay close to work and no one knows where you are staying. Remember the last the ultimate goal is to save money.Angie10 wrote:I hate doing long commutes into work because it's not only expensive but also time consumming and exhausting. Having said that, I'd hate to live too close to work because once I'm done working, I want to completely switch off, disconnect and recharge. Plus sometimes when your superiors know how close you are to work, they can exploit the situation. Anyway, I've found the best scenario... simply work 100% remotely.
I am sure with that, you don't get to spend too much of your earnings on transportation. And you can trek on some days that the weather is fine.Vehlijanta wrote:I am just few kms away from my work so I do save money
