Shaving your hair can be a huge help because it makes it easier to apply medication and clean your scalp without discomfort. It helps keep the scales from getting stuck and reduces the pain when washing your head every day. Although it is a difficult decision for some, it essentially provides quick relief for someone with the severe challenge of psoriasis so that the skin can breathe.
Suffering from psoriasis even hinder people to go to the barber/hairdresser cause aggressive treatments/products they often use. So learning to shave one's head (or at least, learning how to cut one's hair) is desirable (even if I understand it's a big deal for a woman to shave her head). I also suffer from psoriasis that worsened some years ago (even not at the point to need an everyday washing hair), so I'm afraid of hairdressers' products (especially considering I'm living in a disfavoured area). I'm sparing money, as I do my own haircut, but I'd prefer to spare money being healthy, no psoriasis at all.
