They can if they have money and if not then its fine to stay with them as they will be getting that properly in inheritance

You can save money on rent if you are trying to get a permanent structure as a home for yourself. if you have started building you can move out from your rented apartment and stay with your parents, friends or relatives and you would have saved money but if you still need your space then go for this below

On your building land, go ahead set up a makeshift, a temporary accommodation with wood and PVC. A sound Carpenter can easily fix this. or you can save more money by constructing it yourself. How long are you taking to build the house in this scenario? I could rent for several years before it added up to the cost of a house.

Its always better to have your own house even if you need to borrow money to construct yours as you will save on rent and in some time the house will be yours after you pay the loan amount
