In India either we stay with parents or they stay with us and yes we need to find ways to save money like that while we are building a house for ourselves.

I think that helps. But does it mean a child can't wish to have his own building even if parents own a house.

Having a make shift house is fine but in India we don't have any wooden houses in the cities

I have seen people creatively do some kinds of structures to stay in while they grow their income to build a solid structure. The key thing is being able to acquire a land.

On your building land, go ahead set up a makeshift, a temporary accommodation with wood and PVC. A sound Carpenter can easily fix this. or you can save more money by constructing it yourself. Voila, you have a place to stay without spending much till your dream home is completed. What do you think?

I think living in a small wooden hut in the heat of summer, or the cold of winter would be pretty miserable. It might be okay if it was really only for a short time, like a month or two.

When we start calculation of our rents, then we'll reach on some amazing result as in this much amount we would have to buy 2 houses. It's good to construct your own house by temporarily spending your time to any of your relative's house.

How long are you taking to build the house in this scenario? I could rent for several years before it added up to the cost of a house.

Its always better to have your own house even if you need to borrow money to construct yours as you will save on rent and in some time the house will be yours after you pay the loan amount
