I met a lady that tried so hard to impress people. She was wearing a bone straight hair if $300. But the problem is that no one even noticed her. Impressing people is all in your head and you would spend money trying to impress people who don't genuinely don't notice.

Over the past few years, I have stopped wearing makeup. I figure, a man is going to see what I really look like sooner or later. So, why compete?

That's how they pressured me to go buy a clothe I didn't like and feel comfortable in for my first ever lecture that I presented. Ended up not being confident and almost messing the entire lecture up. The clothes is there and won't ever be worn again.

That's how my friend took a lady out on an expensive date just to impress her. Came back and was struggling to feed himself for days. Had to take groceries on debts to survive. Just be yourself. Don't stretch to go the extra Mile and spend stupidly.

Trying to desperately impress someone woul make you to spend at a level you are not supposed to for your finances. I have seen people go out of their way to purchase things to impress another. And end up in a financial mess.
