if you live in small village or town then you can save money by not buying gas. With the recent high gas prices, walking everywhere can save you alot of money.

More details are that if you walk or ride a bike you will not to have pay 10 dollars a gallon for gas. This will save you big money. Also riding a skooter or solar powered hover board will help you save lots of money and not waste money on gas. One thing I did once was drank an energy drink and ran to Mcdoanlds, then ran back home. That is when I knew my live got a little since I did not have to pay 7 dollars per gallons of gas!

It depends on the journey duration. My work place to my house takes 1 hour to reach by bus, so it is impossible for me to walk. Of course walking to nearby foodcourt like 10min is ok.

A bicycle is wise to use nowadays, needs no gas and is for sure faster than walking but of depends on how far we are going.

Sorry, I walk daily about 1 and half mile for one distance on daily journey, but I have to take ride too. We cannot keep walking only.

That's a very lame way to save but yes we can prefer to walk if we need to go a small distance and its like planning to go from Maine to Alaska walking because we like to save money

When you pick ways to save money, you should consider your health as well. Walking everywhere can affect your health. Imagine spending everyday of the week walking in the sun, with the aim of saving money. What about your health? Consider taking a bike, you will get to those places quicker too.

Yeah this will only work for short distance walks. If you over-walk just to save money, you would end up spending that saved money and even more on your heslth.

Walking is good for health, but in scorching sun, just walking and walking will result in damage of health, hospital will cost you more.

This is only for people in big towns. I have 22 km to my workplace and two villages between. I rarely can use bus since it is rare or don't fit for me (I would be late at work every day). I must use car.

I drive all over town all the time for work. My car is my fully packed tool box and I need all that stuff for my work. I could not possibly substitute walking for driving. However, I have not purchased any gas (out of my own pocket) at all in recent years.

It just so happens I was given a company credit card to purchase supplies for my work. Since I have to drive to each jobsite, I was also told to fill my tank as needed so I could do all that driving. I have not been personally affected by any recent changes in the price of gas.

I get more than enough exercise in my work. I don't need to add walking just for the exercise. I've lost more than 40 pounds just from my work alone since I began this work.

Walking instead of driving just won't work for everyone. I just happen to have free gas as a work perk.

If the distance is one that you can walk, it would be better to simply walk than taking transport or using your personal car. Besides the fact that you would be able to save more, it is also healthy. Walking helps you keep yourself healthy.

I also usually walk for certain distances which are still quite affordable, walking around 20-30 minutes is not a very long distance.
