Save money rearing poultry at home

Postby augusta » 21 Jul 2022, 03:30

l save a lot of money when I tend to my birds(chickens) at home. You can't believe how expensive chicken cost now in my locality. So I rear mine for my own consumption. I only sell their eggs since I don't really love to eat them same with it's poop.

This simply means that you don't only save money from buying them expensive in the market. You also make money when you sell the eggs produced from them. You can also sell their poop, people in my locality comes to buy the chicken poop which you sweep from the chicken house and stored them in bags. They buy them to spread on their farms like fertilizer to aid in. quick growth of their farm products.

Animal and bird poops have fertilizer usage, so this is good, but I wonder, if they do not have bullock or other animals for their farms?

I too rear chicks for consumption but also sell them to my neighbor's. I only keep the indigenous breed that tends to be sweeter than the cross- bred ones

Good one if you know some farmefs you can approach them and tell them about buying the poop from you. So you can take advantage and make money too from selling the poop after sweeping the cage of the kitchen.

I started farming. I don't know if they're farm mice but they're some animals that eat all my plantations. It's so frustrating. I stopped farming. One thing about me is I love the chicken poop. It's such a healthy and, natural fertilizer that I like to use on the farm. We also have dogs so, they ate all my chickens so bummer!!!

What breed of dogs you had who killed their masters pet? Normally my dog never touched our chickens when we used to have.

Poultry require a good amount of care, but I do believe it's worth it. There are plenty of opportunities to make extra buck in poultry.

Yeah it is worth it, because a part from helping you save money that you would have expensively from the market you get to make money off it no matter how little

Chicken is a good source of protein. But consider this idea if you have enough knowledge on poultry farming. Birds are delicate and can incur losses.

That depends on the Poultry. Icelandic Chickens and Mallard ducks thrives in neglect as long as they have water and they are free ranged as they can find their own food.

Speaking of feeds, If you don't want to buy feeds you can use kitchen waste. Some farmers are going makes deals with Restaurants, casinos and school to give them their food waste and they feed it to the ducks and chickens.

I raise free-range chickens for extra income, because I usually give leftover food to the chickens so it doesn't go to waste. The chickens lay eggs, I sometimes take the eggs for frying, most of them hatch. After hatching, I raise the chicks until they grow up. When they grow up, sometimes I take a few to cut and cook, most of which I sell. I use the manure for plant fertilizer. Yes there are many advantages to raising chickens.

My aunt does this but it is not suitable if you are living in a rented apartment. Other tenants might not be cool with it.
