If you have multiple subscriptions on different streaming platforms, the best thing to do is cancel a service or two. However, if you really can't let go of at least one of them, the next best thing to do is to share streaming services with other consumers.
Let's use Netflix as an example. As of writing (8-18-2022), the Basic Plan costs $9.99. In this plan, only one user can enjoy Netflix shows. However, in Netflix's Premium Plan, 4 people will be given access to the platform (fee of $19.99). This will translate to a mere $5 fee per person. Versus the Basic Plan, individuals who would collaborate with other people to avail of the Premium Plan will instantly reduce their Netflix monthly expense to half!
Alternatively, trading account details with other people is also an easy way to save money. For example, your co-worker could share her/his Hulu log-in credentials with you on one condition: you must share in return your Disney+ login info. I'd like to end this money-saving tip with a quote from Netflix CEO Reed Hastings: “We love people sharing Netflix. That’s a positive thing, not a negative thing.”
