This is one of the best ways through which my parents have saved a lot of money and passed on this to me and what they do is to look at the hours/days/months or even years we need to work to earn that amount/cost we are planning to incur like for buying a Smartphone or Car or anything and this way we can plan accordingly and most of the times we will not go for the purchase so it will stop us from impulsive buying.

Impulsive Buying is like worse style of spending money you would even be buying what you might not really be needing at the moment. So you are just wasting money.
