Everyone knows the need to stop unnecessary expenditures for savings, but only a few people keep in mind where their unnecessary expenditures are happening.
For example, some people rarely go to the gym but take out a monthly or annual membership.
The reasoning behind this is that the membership fee is less as compared to the one-time input, and that is where they go wrong.
Total daily input will cost more than monthly fees, but only if you go to the gym five days a week. Similarly, the annual membership fee will also be less than the monthly membership fee only if you go to the gym every month.
Compare it.
If you go on vacation for a few months, compare the annual subscription fee to the number of months you will actually go to the gym. If the amount of the annual fee is still less than the total monthly fee, then only take the annual subscription, not otherwise.
Similarly, if you only go to the gym once in a while, skip the monthly subscription and just use the one-time input.
