I know many will say it's outdated but it's back to paying well now and the present rate of interest given by banks on all Fixed deposits for 666 days is 7.25 % and that's really good if you ask me because, for the past many years, it was just 5% or so, so this is the best time to go for fixed deposit and save and see your money earning for you.

Not in my country, banks haven't increased the interest rates yet but I believe they will do it this year even though there are better options in the market and if banks don't give an interesting increase they will probably lose some clients.

In my country I think the banks have never implemented the policy before. Saved money in the fixed deposit scheme doesn't earn anyone something.

Some people don't care how low the Interest is, as long as it's Insured by the government against loss.

Indian Banks are doing well, because Pappu is not decision maker, so other countries do not have the feature.
