Save with Wholesale Shopping Club

Postby Yugocean » 11 Jan 2023, 10:10

Wholesalers sell items for much less than market value, but you must buy a certain minimum number of units of each item. People don't buy from them to avoid unnecessary purchases, so why not form a wholesale shopping club with your friend circle?
Through this, many families will shop together, then buy together according to their needs and share the cost according to their purchases.
This will also increase social interaction among people and savings will also be good.

Yeah, like 'buy one membership for Sam's Club & take all your friends shopping!' Right? (P.S. I didn't intentionally hyperlink 'Sam's Club'; the link is probably good (if it hyperlinks again), just 'don't blame me!' :P )

There is no link.
Ok, there can be any club, I got this idea by remembering old shopping way our family had.

"Sam's Club" is the name OF a wholesale store-franchise (named after (started by?) Sam Walton of Walmart fame).

Good to know, people develop ideas, we are not the ones who started. We are borrowing ideas fro history.

... or maybe I mixed-up 'wholesale' with 'buy in bulk' ... are those the same thing or two different things?

I like Sam's Club, especially for Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate, to create my homemade mochas!

Local grocery stores have jacked up the cost of such hot chocolate. For 6 packets, over $3.00!

At Sam's Club, I can buy a big huge canister of Swiss Miss for around $8.00!

Another bonus? You are not forking out $5.00 a cup at Starbucks!

But I do want to defend the baristas; at STARBUCKS, not only are you paying for the happy atmosphere (which they maintain).

You're also paying for 'not having to deal with much of the clean-up that comes from making your own coffee.' (I'm just fine with 'putting my mug in the dishwasher after a cup-or-two of instant coffee or -cocoa,' but my caregiver SWEARS BY her French Press coffee-maker!)Image

I like this thread because I've been on the lookout for very good but affordable online wholesale clothing stores. There are times when I wish I lived in the US because those people have access to EVERYTHING. Clothes can be soooo cheap over there! But my idea is to buy to resell, so I'll be following this thread closely in case someone mentions a good online wholesale that ships worldwide.

I do live in the United States and do not know of a wholesale clothing store. I would love to know too!

I guess shopping for coffee by the bulk at Sam's Club is the best I could do.

This practice has a double goal of saving costs and promoting social integration which is good for people to live in peace but it must be done between sincere and trustworthy persons.

It is not difficult to do. Just interact with people and find out people that need the same things as you. And get to buy it as a wholesale.

We can go for bulk purchases from them for things that have a higher shelf life and this way we can save by buying from Wholesalers
