This is a simple savings rule based on new daily savings that should be used when you do not have the budget for the concerned item.
If you want to buy something, wait a few days (as to the value of the item) before asking yourself again. For example, you want to buy a new jacket, but you haven't budgeted for it, so go for it.
That jacket costs $30, so save $1 for 30 days. Then, in 30 days, you will decide whether you need the jacket or not. If yes, then have it because savings created a budget for it; if not, create a budget for the jacket for the next time you make a purchase.
