If we are interested in going to the event, being a volunteer will give us a free pass and surely some freebies. It is a very nice tip, I haven't thought about that.

I am a freelancer and I do volunteer work when I have free time. But I seldom volunteer at events. Hence, I haven't got any freebies or free tickets because of my volunteer work. I normally go to elderly homes and childcare centers to help out.

My wife works at the big Air Show every year and gets a nice T-Shirt plus tickets for both of us to see the show.

As into social work, I am always open for this, but there eating free food only cut the budget of organising.
We may eat only if there is left.

One could pick up some free skills while the volunteers for such events are being trained. These skills can help the person in the future.

Way to go you would definitely get something for free for trying to help out. You would be compensated at the end of the day

My friend is into this ushering gigs and gets paid for them. She also gets lots of food that can last for a week from some of these events that are organized by rich individuals.

I have never volunteered for an event before. I sure know that those volunteers save on their food budget for the day they are volunteers.

That would take your time but if you are smart, you could make so much money from it. Not to talk of tangible stuffs like food.

With volunteering for events, you would have at least your meals for that day sorted out by the organizers and owners of the events.

Volunteering for this kind of event, you need to look beyond the money and the food. Strive to build connections at the event.
