Save Money With Curd or Lemon or Wheat

Postby JASPREET » 09 Feb 2023, 11:31

When we prepare food we need all ingredients to be in order so that that food tastes good. We all know the money used in the preparation of food from Cooking Gas or Electricity, Oil, Spices, veggies, Meat and also the time we invest which otherwise could be used to earn money so if the food contains more salt then no one can eat that food. We may need to throw that out so it will be a waste of money but if we can use this small tip then the same food can be eaten by us.

For Dishes with Gravy, we can add balls made of wheat flour to the dish and keep it on medium flame and after a few mins remove the wheat balls as they have absorbed the extra salt in the dish.

For dishes without gravy, we can add lemon juice or Curd into the dish and the excessive salt will adjust.

I don't use a lot of salt to season food, I prefer spice. I have several spices (salt, basil, coriander, mint...) planted in my garden and I don't need to buy them. But it is good to know the tips you shared.

This is nice, I actually know of using chopped potatoes, chopped potatoes absorb the excess salt in foods which can then be removed after some minutes.

I do not understand your logic. If you don't want your food to be too salty for people to eat, just don't put too much salt in it. That doesn't mean you can't use salt at all. Lemons and wheat flour cost more than salt.

A good tip for when you accidentally put too much salt in your food, I guess. But I tend to use spices and herbs in place of salt. I have salt in my cupboard but I use it to clear my pipes - a tablespoon of the white staff down your sink hole apparently helps curb clogging by breaking down grease
