Book lunch instead of dinner at a buffet restaurant

Postby Yugocean » 17 Feb 2023, 07:22

It happens on our birthdays, anniversaries, etc. that some acquaintance may have to throw a party in a restaurant. Although a party can be given at home instead of a restaurant, if this is not possible, take it to a luncheon party instead of dinner in a restaurant.
Buffet restaurants charge per plate, which is higher for dinner and lower for lunch. Also, we tend to eat more in the afternoon than at night, so lunch will be comparatively cheaper.

Better to call a caterer and plan out as it will be less expensive.

Buffets are actually cheaper and you can have unlimited access to rich people food like steaks, lobsters for the Vegans, some expensive exotic veggie.

If you want to carry this idea a little further, make it a Breakfast Buffet to save even more.

I haven't seen a buffet in ages! They disappeared around here during the COVID lockdowns. When I visited Reno last year, several of the buffets were still shut down. Who still has buffets? I wish they'd come back. :(

I agree that a lunch buffet price is usually cheaper than the dinner price. Breakfast and lunch prices tended to be pretty similar.

Lunch buffets are cheaper, because there's less. Dinner is when they serve the best items. If you want the best bang for your buck, dinner is actually a better deal.

2 weeks ago, the roommates and I went to an all-you-can-eat Chinese lunch buffet. My bill came to $9.00 as I only had water with lemon with my buffet. The roommates' cost a little more as one got Mountain Dew and the other iced tea.

I would go lunch all-you-can-eat buffet all the way!

With a breakfast buffet, your selection may be more limited.

It is difficult, buffet do not open in the morning, and people do not have time in the morning to go to parties.

I totally agree there. We always prefer to go for buffet lunch thsn dinner. Well, the money saving point never came to our mind. We did it because digesting a heavy meal at lunch is easier. We avoid heavy meals in the night at all costs.

It is true, if we are looking for quality and not quantity, the buffet dinner is always better than lunch.

Taste will be the same, but there's always more variety at dinner time. Most seafood items (most expensive) and high quality meats are not available during lunch time. This is how all buffets operate.
