We usually have the countdown available here and even if its 2-3 mins I will turn it off to save money

That is true, it is never more than 1 minute, it doesn't worth turn off our car engine, it will spend much more to start again.

This money saving tip is as bad as trying to save on toilet paper by folding a sheet in 1/4 and tearing off the point to make a hole in the middle, then sticking your finger in the hole and wipe away.
