Use Pareto's law to save money

Postby Yugocean » 07 Apr 2023, 05:22

According to Pareto's law, 20% of the causes lead to 80% of the effects.
This can be a very simple savings principle. According to this, 20% of what you have has to be used to meet 80% of the needs. In the beginning, you will find it complicated, but you can use it on an as-needed basis.
Like using 20% of the crockery you have, using the remaining 80% will save you from buying any new ones.

I believe that about 20% of our monthly expenses are consuming 80% of your monthly income, we are saving the rest  I think I have to reverse this :eh:

The thing is that we need to avoid unnecessary spending so that we can only spend a little percentage to save money

Or alternatively, one should look at making more money as the savings will go higher when you are able to make more money while providing basic needs at home.

I think this one will strain me out. However it's a nice and worthwhile idea to attempt to.

You can use this principle with automatic savings. You structure it so that 20% of your income is automatically transfered to a savings account and use the 80% to meet both your needs and your wants.

I agree if you take a close look at your expenses, you'll likely find that a small portion of your spending, such as housing, transportation, and food, accounts for the majority of your expenses. By focusing on reducing these significant expenses, you can make a significant impact on your savings.

It simply prioritizes maximizing the usage of resources to get the maximum capacity out of it. Every resource must be maximized including finances, food. No room for wastage.
