Everytime you pay for any of your bills, Grocery, Petrol, Gas or anything look for the best option that can save you money even if it's 1 cent because otherwise you wouldn't have saved that. While at petrol station pay with your card that provides you with reward points, never pay in haste because this way you won't be getting the best results from your payment.

Different payment systems have different exchange rates. Find the rates that saves something for you no matter how small. That is why I try to use official bank channels to make international payments than use black market rates.
