Don't listen to rumours and do your own research before investing

Postby Yugocean » 22 Apr 2023, 12:24

Be it the market for commodities, securities, or crypto, rumours run rampant, and getting into their mess can cause damage. Rumors can spread that the value of such and such will increase a lot, or the value of such and such will decrease. Don't pay attention to anyone without doing your own research.
Those who buy and sell paying attention to rumours suffer losses. One example is mine: I had bought a good amount of APE tokens, then a rumour spread that APE's value would decrease (at that time APE's value was $3.5), so I sold my APE and bought another crypto, which has a better value going on. But the opposite happened. The one I bought dropped in value, while APE is still profitable.

Oh absolutely! I mean, don't get me wrong, it's good to get opinions from people you know you can trust. However, I always want to go one further and do my own research because what works for one person won't necessarily work for the next. I look at both positive and negative independent reviews as well.

Don't listen to rumours and do your own research before investing!!! Investors have lost at least a billion dollars on crypto scams, and a new ad campaign from the SEC wants to help them avoid such pitfalls.

Why it matters: The ads encourage skepticism towards faddish investments, but also urge individuals to "do your own research" — a phrase associated with conspiracy theories and mistrust of official messaging. :)

Rumours when acceptedd and acted upon by either buying or selling commodity will eventually have an effect on that particular commodity even if the rumor isn't even true at first .
This ccan be seen in crypto coins

It's good to hear other people's opinion about the investment issues but after hearing to them make your due diligence before making any investment.

The biggest mistakes you would make is to invest on something based on what you have heard from others. Always make sure you know what you are investing in. Take time out to make proper research first and always invest what you are okay with loosing just incase.

Always be sure to invest what you are capable of losing. It saves you from heart attack.
