Look good with Rented Clothes

Postby Vehlijanta » 01 May 2023, 01:24

Many times you need to attend different meetings, family functions etc but in order to buy good clothes you need to spend a bigger chunk of money which may not be worth as you don't attend so many such outings so instead of buying you can rent those clothes and save money.

I've known people to rent tuxedos and similar outfits for formal occasions. But it is not very common to rent clothes here, other than that. Is this something that happens a lot where you are @Vehlijanta?

Sure a lot of celebrities wear rented clothes for their numerous outings. Don't spend so much on clothes when you can rent them

I have never seen a rented service for clothes here, which is a shame  I know that it is possible to rent luxury clothes in big cities but it is something that is not available in an offline store in my city, only online. From what I have read we need to pay other than the rent, an insurance, and that makes the renting service expensive.

Nowadays people do rent cloth just because they want to oppress their mates or other people, which I see as a bad idea because renting cloth then putting on cloth not belonging to you ,I don't see this as a good idea

I can't be renting clothes. I can only rent ceremonial clothes like wedding gowns not regular clothes.

My kids who are now all grown adults with families, always rented a tux for Senior Prom, but fortunately, as they grew older and more resourceful we bought one and passed it down until our last move when I gave it to Goodwill. My youngest some even passed on hiring a Limousine, when he negotiated with me to detail my Mercedes to pay for a nights rental. It helped me keep a super clean car at least a couple of times a year.

I don't like the idea of renting clothes. One can easily get skin diseases from this practice.

Is this a joke? When suits are pressed with hot steam the risk of skin disease is close to zero.

I think this is better especially when you need a particular outfit for a one time occasion and won't want to spend that much since it seem expensive, a right choice to make there is renting.

Most of these celebrities today who you see wearing fancy cloths, most of the cloths they wear are not even theirs. They do rent them or in some cases a fashion line give it out to them to promote the cloth.

Yes, I once rented a dress for a school graduation ceremony. Besides that I don't do it, because I prefer to wear clothes that are at home.
