Prepare for the festival sale, keeping in mind the price

Postby Yugocean » 01 May 2023, 05:06

There is a glow in the market at the time of festivals; why not? Because people do a lot of shopping. At this time, discounts can be expected even if demand is high and supply is low. But keep an eye on the discount.

Lest it happen that you buy that thing whose price has been increased before the festival and a false discount is shown at the time of the festival,

For me I think there is no need to sell at discounted prices during festivals as there is the availability of larger market and more people would buy despite the higher prices.

This isn't true, maybe you buy despite higher price, but market isn't like that. Competition makes everyone to bring discount.

I have noticed this especially during any celebration, the costumes that would be used for the festival would be very cheap and affordable and one can save money

Do you mean there is a demand for festival merchandising? or to buy tickets? When I want to go to a festival I often buy the tickets online, usually I get a small discount that I wouldn't have if I buy it locally.

In my place, prices actually skyrocket during festive seasons. We buy things a month before the festivities to escape the price hike.

I try as much as I can to purchase festival essentials way before the festival period draws close so as not to get caught up with clogging demand and attendant price increase.

We always have this Great Indian Festival offer from Amazon India during Dusshera and Diwali times. This year, I could buy a lot of things that I needed from there on a very discounted rates.

So much sales antics are used during festive periods to maximize profits from high demands. Use your head when doing festive period shopping.

They inflate the prices and then show that are offering high discounts by reducing it to the original price, giving it a false feeling they are offering products at heavy discounts.

You're right, I prefer to buy my stuff towards festival season because, most times, it's always cheap. Christmas is coming and most business are on promo. I think it's the best time to check it out before Christmas

I had the same belief before. But now I don't. It might be the case with few things. But recently, I have seen that the branded stuffs go for good discount during this festival sale. I was eyeing on few bedsheets of Bombay Dyeing and they were pretty costly. During this festival sale, I bought four of them at the cost of two. And the quality is as per the expectations.

I am always wary of chrismas promos. They always appear glittering. I just love that businesses give gifts during chrismas to loyal customers.

Ok, so my theory got debunked for certain products BUT I am happy about it, haha.

People genuinely give discounts for chrismas sales in my place. But it is not a bad thing to check if the discount is sincere or just a marketing gimmick.
