Brag About Your Savings!

Postby Spontaneo » 26 May 2023, 04:08

I thought that maybe we could brag about our savings daily, weekly or however you like!

When I do the math, I usually estimate.

Today, I began with $70.00.

Tobacco shop
2 vape pens for $23.00 (cheaper than a carton of cigarettes)

Cellular phone service
$28.00 (unlimited talk and text)

Dollar Tree
A few items here were bought with our combined grocery money, such as 7 boxes of water enhancer and 2 pounds of sugar.
With my personal money, I bought a shaker bottle for $1.25 and tax.

Dollar General
$5.00 crate of water
$2.00 box of tea bags.

Tomorrow, I am going to buy vape tanks online at 5 for $5.00 and $5.00 shipping.

How is my shopping?

I don't have much savings to brab about, I try to save in everyday purchases and save as soon as I receive my salary. There are some savings opportunities that are one in a million and I have had some in my life. I will take notes and post them here, sometimes our savings can be an inspiration to others.

I don't really have much savings to be proud of, but I always try to save regardless of the nominal amount, and I will think many times before spending money. Is it an urgent need or just a wish that can be postponed or skipped. Yes, I've been through hard times, so I really value money. But I do not hesitate to help people who are in trouble.

I have 2 very true friends that bless my roommates and I every month.

One friend is my neighbor. One of her friend's gives her outdated breads. Our neighbor sorts through what she wants and then gives the rest to we gals! Everything from donuts to mini bagels to cinnamon raisin bread to etc.

Another friend is from bingo. She gives we roommates boxes and boxes of chips, pretzels and party mix every month. Her husband gets the treats from his job for free.

I'm trying to save but I don't know if it worth the brag for now. But does doing this help us to save more?

For now I don't have any savings to brag of. My financial situation is at mess and almost everything here is very expensive and there is absolutely no Savings on purchases here in my location.

I don't support this. Your financial life is supposed to be known only to you.

That is awesome! Good for you? May I ask what you saved money on? Groceries?

There are no dollar stores? Can you shop online?

It encourages. We can learn from each other. We can feel good.

I also attempt to give to others too. Last week, I went through my closet and found 4 bags of blue jeans that are too small for me. I am going to let a roommate go through them and want she does not want, I am donating.

Dollar Tree and Walmart. Best prices to save money. I don't bother shopping anywhere else for bargains these days. Both stores are less than 10 minutes away from my apartment. I even save on gas to go there!

That is awesome! My roommates and I go to Dollar Tree once a week.

The roommates go to WalMart once a week. However, I do not go as one has to go into the city. I prefer to shop locally. I do not like the city. I do like to shop on WalMart.com though.

I'm ashamed to boast about my savings amount, because it's not a big amount. While it is a large amount, I will not be proud of it either, because people will ask me for something that is not so important.

No matter how small your savings is, it is your effort and you need to brag about it.

When you even brag about it, it might even push you to save more so that your bragging rights would increase in your next savings.

I have told myself numerously that every shopping trip, wherever I go, to grab a Christmas gift for this year's Christmas.

I should not be broke come November!

I have not been saving any amount of money lately because of the high rate of inflation.
