Avoid high insurance for new gadgets

Postby Tendz » 28 Jul 2023, 11:15

While insurance coverage can provide a peace of mind, it can also be costly expense. Problem is when you go for expensive insurance coverage for high-end gadgets and applications such as TV, fridge, laptop, mobile phone. Do compare different insurance policies and try to get the best rate as possible.

And, whenever you purchase a gadget, look for sturdy construction and better warranties, as it will help to reduce the need for insurance coverage since you can get it repaired through the manufacturer's warranty.

An unusual and controversial strategy for avoiding spending large sums of money in purchasing insurance covers for high-end gadgets is to purposely opt to always purchase low-cost devices.
By sticking to this policy, a person would not see the need for purchasing insurance cover for her gadgets.

All things being equal, insurance cost for new gadgets is supposed to be much lowered because at that stage, the risk of it getting damaged is really low.

I bundle my insurance for all my gadgets ranging from my phone, laptop and TV into one insurance plan with the same provider than insuring them seperately. This reduces cost of insurance for me.

Any product that has a warranty if two years up is an excellent product. Buy those and don't spend monthly premiums on insurance policy.

That's right go for items that have a longer warranty period. You would be saving money if you be saving money when you would be needing any kind of maintenance.

For me the insurance premiums are very high expenses for that matter. I would only prefer taking care of the car insurance as it is a requirement and a law on the constitution of the Kenya.

You can always negotiate the coverage for insurance to minimize the rates. It is only fixed if you're going for all the services on offer in a package. But then, insurance on gadgets is unnecessary.
