"The picture above is a close-up shot of a stitched shirt. Typically, when you use a washing machine frequently for your shirts, the threads that hold them together can get cut. Once these threads are cut, your shirt becomes brittle every time you wash it in a washing machine. This applies whether the shirt is expensive or cheap. Once those threads become loose, your t-shirt will develop holes. One of the best ways to preserve your shirt and prevent the threads from loosening is to hand wash it. However, let's face it, hand washing can be a tedious task, especially if you have a large amount of laundry. Washing machines make our lives easier. So, I've come up with a method to maintain the durability of our shirts even when using a washing machine, and that is by securing the threads with fabric glue.
Fabric glue is very affordable and can be purchased online or in bookstores. Typically, people use it for creating costumes without using traditional stitching. However, I use it to make the threads adhere to the fabric, and I've achieved good results. I tried it on a cheap t-shirt before my accident, and I didn't notice any threads coming loose. To ensure the best results, make sure your shirt is inside out when applying the fabric glue, as you wouldn't want any residue to be visible. Additionally, choose colorless fabric glue.
