Use Shaving powder instead of frequently visiting the barbing saloon

Postby Nsikan » 23 Oct 2023, 05:20

We all have to admit that one thing that we spend on regularly as men is shaving our hairs and beards. Some people are so hairy that they have to shave every 2 days. And having to shave that frequently at the barbing salon is huge expenses.

One can save on this expense by using shaving powder. A can of shaving powder can last a frequent shaver one month and when compared, it is less than the cost of having to visit the barbing saloon quite often.

And the amazing thing is that when you use a shaving powder to shave, it would take a longer time for the hairs to come out again unlike clippers used by barbers.

I visit the barber far too often. It looks insignificant but if one adds everything in a month, it is big money.

My husband shaves his beard so he only goes to the salon when he wants to cut his hair but he is lucky because my parents have a hair salon and cut his hair for free.

You guys are just lucky. I shaved on Sunday and today, my shaving is due. You can imagine how much I spend.

My boyfriend has his own clipper which he uses to shave facial hairs. He only pays the barber for full scale barbing, not shaving.

Hardly anyone in Australia goes to a barber to get a shave. Most men shave at home. My partner has a beard which he clips with a beard trimmer.

Lots of women shave too, btw. Just not our faces, but nobody expects women to go to a salon to have someone shave them. I suppose we can go and get a professional wax. I do prefer that to waxing at home if I'm going to do that. It lasts a lot longer (no hair for a month).

Does it mean that all the men in Australia can give themselves a professional shave that is neat. I tend to recognize the difference between a professional shave and a non professional one.

When we add all money on monthly basis then it will be much more, we can cut our hair too at home. Sometimes my wife do it and she cut it so perfectly.

My husband owns the shaving machine and he does all the shavings all alone.

No, I didn't say a professional shave. Men here just don't prioritise that. There aren't very many barber shops.

Men in my location actually prioritize a professional shave and must patronize a barbing saloon often. Some do as much as three to four times in a week depending on the pace of hair growth.

I really can't shave myself too. My hairstyle is complex and would require a professional barber to manage it.

That's good if he can give himself a smart look with having to shave by himself. He doesn't spend money on shaving.
