I still think that I spend a lot of money on transport because the price of diesel is so high. I already shared a car with a colleague but at the moment that is not possible, so I feel that my monthly transport expense is now higher

I think overall, your approach makes financial sense. If you weigh it like that and it's financially better to stay in another city like your Case, it is okay.Jem Smith wrote:The trouble with that is that if you work in a city, usually it's much more expensive to live near the city center than further out. My partner commutes to a different city each day and that's still much cheaper than it would be for us to rent near his work.
