Save money using government clinics or hospitals

Postby augusta » 27 Nov 2023, 08:42

You can get treated in government hospitals a lot cheaper than private hospitals. You would even get specialists more in these government hospitals. So if you want to save money while getting treated then use government health centres or hospitals.

Government hospitals and clinics often provide healthcare services at a lower cost or, in some cases, for free. Take advantage of these facilities for routine check-ups, vaccinations, and basic healthcare needs.

Maternities usually have free check-up services for pregnant women and mothers. Children are also often vaccinated for free.

The problem with government hospitals like every other government institutions, workers are non challant. They have specialists but they are busy in their private clinics and would rarely come around to the government hospitals they work in.

It is true that healthcare services rendered in government hospitals are way cheaper. Teachin hospitals of public universities have some of the highest equipment much better than private hospitals. And they charge half of what private hospitals charge.

Private hospitals are actually really patronized for their quick services. As we all know that cheaper things are always full of crowds. Government hospitals use to have unprecedented numbers of people. If you want quick attention, you have to go early.

I suppose it depends where you are, but in Australia there aren not more specialists in public hospitals than private ones, it is the other way around. It is definitely cheaper to go to a public hospital though, of course, but you will usually have to wait longer to get treated. If you want elective surgery you might have to wait for a year or more in the public system. I

t is cheap though. I had surgery and stayed overnight in a public hospital and all I had to pay for was the parking.

For an emergency situation, public hospitals are not even an option as the person may die before they complete their long bureaucratic processes.

I also had a surgical operation in a government hospital for appendicitis. Spent about $16 for the entire procedure. Private hospitals won't take less than $100.

Yes you can do this by going to the hospital with specialist but try to get good ones. They offer better service but with cheaper cost.

I am applying this money saving tip in my household. Every member of the family normally go to the public facilities for seeking medical attention. This is because they are relatively cheaper and have great service compared to the private facilities that are being expensive for nothing.

True government hospitals are a lot more cheaper, over here we usually call them general hospitals but it still depends on where you are form. Over here even with how cheap general hospitals are, most people tend to prefer private ones cause majority of these general hospitals over here have too many patients that they cannot attend to anyone or they do not even have most of the equipment.

Government hospitals are the best in terms of treatment of diseases. It's just administration that's killing them.

Is that what happens where you live? Here if it's an emergency they help the person first and deal with the paperwork later. That's the case in the UK too. Also in the US I think. If someone's unconscious they don't just leave them lying there because they can't sign a form.

Unfortunately, that's what happens. The other option is for you to go to the Accidents and Emergency section of the public hospital. There, you would he given prompt attention. But it's slightly more expensive than the regular ward. Emergency situations where someone is unconscious? Don't try the regular Ward unless you want the person to die. They believe in paperwork first.

Government clinics are very cheap to get treatment. In my city, they are just few apart. Then, you have the government health centres that handle maternity at a very subsidized rates. Usually $15 would get your baby delivered.

As much as you can, if it's convenient for you, you save cost getting treatment from a government hospital. If it's not, you do a private hospital. Health shouldn't be compromised for any money saving.
