If you are habitual to drink with your friends outside and you know it does costs a lot so you can stop drinking with them or shorten the group or try to drink alone or at home, I know it'll be difficult but it'll save you enough money that you'll like the idea. Same way you can look at things where you spend so much and gradually try to ignore it and save money.
Once you start living a thoughtful conscious frugal style, you will see that your expenditure comes down so much. I am trying on that and getting better with time. I am going for the minimalist approach these days and that is effective in so many ways.
Many habits bearing the demand as to spend more money in it like if someone become habitual of smoking then he will spend much more money on daily basis on it.
