People that are skilled in sowing hardly lack clothes because they get it almost for free. They use remaining clothes of patrons to combine and create something for themselves and family members.

Yes I am always trying to do that but I am not that good and quick in learning things so I need to see what skill I can learn and save money

I know how to sew and do basic stitches with a hand needle. That has helped me with taking care of minor patches myself.

There are some amending I usually do myself. I simply just buy a thread and needle then stitch it myself.

That's easier said than done. I can sew on a button, but that's about my limit. I've tried to repair rips and tears in clothing, or do alterations and it's not easy. I think I just don't have a natural aptitude for it. You're lucky if you do.
