Using Credit cards Wisely

Postby Tendz » 15 Sep 2024, 07:15

Managing your finances can be easier if you use credit cards wisely. By paying off your balance in full each month, avoiding unnecessary fees and interest charges, and taking advantage of rewards programs, you can make the most of your credit card, while also building a positive credit history. Remember to always stay within your budget, and only use credit cards for purchases you can afford to pay off promptly.

Yes these are very valid points. For a number of years, I did not pay full amount of the outstanding bill due to certain financial challenges.
The outstanding interest rates accumulate and in a way we tend to incur losses and it stifles many of our financial plans.
So it is best to pay off the full bill & not let the outstanding accumulate.

The biggest problem with the cards that people have, whether credit or debit, is that they take out everything in installments and go into debt to infinity and beyond, this is why I NEVER take out anything in installments, I always try to buy everything at once. cash, but if you use the card to get something in installments you should clearly take advantage of the promotions and I would always pay it to be up to date and you don't owe any money, you can also take advantage of the promotions offered by platforms such as Freecash they return a percentage of the price or give you profit, without going any further you can subscribe to amazon prime video (if you are new) through Freecash and you will receive a percentage of profit, I think this is also It is a smart way to use cards and make profit

I like your point about how this can stifle our plans. Good that you recognise the importance of paying off the full bill, as that not just helps avoid extra costs, but also supports a healthier credit score.

I heard the interest on unpaid amount can go up to 36% which is too much high so we should not make this mistake

We need to learn about the fees and how we can waive off it as most credit card companies wants us to use the card for a minimum amount in a year and then we don't need to pay any fee
