After Playing the role of the Heterosexual male power fantasy James Bond, Daniel Craig accepted to play a Gay role. He barely have sex scenes with Bond girls when he was James Bond but He will have love scenes with Drew Starky who did teen romances and BL movies before. The age Gap makes them old enough to play father and son in a movie.
He accepted this role because its a different character from James Bond. He is still straight in real life, he is married to Rachel Weisz, His wife seems to stop him from sex scenes in James Bond but she seems to approve of this one. Gay roles did helped careers of straight actors like Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Hanks. He have American accent in this movie

Craig has described the role as a "beautiful challenge" and has spoken about the importance of portraying such a character with depth and authenticity. This role is a significant departure from his well-known portrayal of James Bond, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

My problem from all of this is with the wife who is not cool with him doing sex scenes with ladies but is cool with Craig doing sex scenes with guys. That's hypocrisy fuelled by stupidity. Just praying that Craig doesn't go ahead to turn gay.

Playing a gay role will not turn you gay. Majority of new Thai Actors have to play gay roles to futher their careers and they are still straight. No one turns you gay, being born gay turns you gay. Wentworth Miller is a gay action star who keeps playing Straight roles on movies and tv and he is still gay despite sex and kissing scenes with women.

There seems to have been some confusion, possibly due to Daniel Craig's recent role in playing gay characters. It's important to remember that actors often play roles that differ from their real-life identities.

It's kinda funny thought he was straight before (he always gave me bi vibes). I guess if you'd only seen him in movies and not clips of him just being himself, or if you just have no gaydar.

In a straight relationship =/= straight.
Craig: "If I had to label myself, I’d have to go with the rather clunky term “pansexual” – that is, someone who is attracted to people regardless of their gender presentation. And that’s changed over the years, as I’ve understood more about gender and sexuality. It’s also perfectly normal to find that where you are on the spectrum shifts over time." https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/daniel-craig-glass-onion-gay-b2251861.html
Also, you know he's played a gay role before right? Benoit Blanc in Knives Out and The Glass Onion.

You don't "turn gay". However, if you're bisexual you can go from being in an opposite sex relationship to a same sex one.
I don't think she's being hypocritcal at all in stating her preferences with her husband. She's told him what she is and isn't comfortable with and that's between them. Only of course, since they're celebrities it's out there for everybody to weigh in on.

Very true. The character of James Bond is an alpha male character. And anyone who has ever played that character should never be portrayed as a sissy.

Money is money. It pays bills. Also his CV will be richer with another type of role. I consider this same as when football player have transfer in biggest rival club.

It's not a Bond movie. It has nothing to do with Bond.

I can't tell whether that's sarcasm or not but I hope so.

Many movies now featuring diverse and authentic portrayals of gay characters. Including: The Birdcage - A comedy about a gay couple who must pretend to be straight for a family dinner. Love, Simon - A coming-of-age story about a high school student who navigates life and love while coming out as gay.

If anybody's looking for some more here are some: The Sum of Us (1994)- An Aussie movie starring a young Russell Crowe Call Me By Your Name (2017) starring Timothée Chalamet. All About My Mother (1999), directed by Pedro Almodóvar - actually most of his films depict gay characters My Own Private Idaho (1991) with Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix Mrs Doubtfire (1993) Philadelphia (1993) The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994) Another Aussie one, with Hugo Weaving Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) Reality Bites (1994) lots of 90s ones, sorry, but I've just seen lots of them. Stonewall (1995) - fictionalised account of the Stonewall riot The Opposite of Sex (1998) But I'm a Cheerleader (1999) The Miseducation of Cameron Post (2018) This one and But I'm a Cheerleader are both about gay conversion therapy. The TV series Heartstopper.
As a bonus, here is Daniel Craig dancing in an ad for Belvedere vodka 2 years ago.
