Some people find's this album cover Offensive

Postby Netherrealmer » 12 Jun 2025, 09:30

Last Year Sabrina Carpenter dominated the charts. The former child star was able to change her image by having a 1960s bombshell inspired image. Some people even called her the modern Marilyn Monroe.

After the success of her previous Album. She launched her next Album titled: Man's best friend Its basically telling her male fans that she is not a threat. Since a lot of female singers hates on men on their lyrics.

Her album cover is found offensive by some people because the man holds her hair like a dog on leash.

So many feminist are offended by the fact she is posing like a dog and her album name is Man's best friend

I think it's kind of gross. I wouldn't lose sleep over it though.

She also cosplayed a controversial book Character Lolita. Lolita is a 12 year old girl who got groomed by her step father, then her step dad secretly murdered her mom so they can have sex relations.

Why she did it? Well she is a short woman and Lolita is a 12 year old girl. So she can pass as her.

It seemed like this album is some kind of appreciation for men since a lot of female singers make money by hating on men.

If the album is seen as an appreciation for men, that's a very different vibe because often people say female artists get attention by writing songs that criticize men. This new style can bring balance and show that music can be a platform to celebrate the strengths and positive sides of men too. It brings a new perspective to the industry and makes fans feel recognized. It's refreshing to see creativity changing and showing that music doesn't have to be negative to sell. This can bring in a much larger audience.

I don't think you have to be a feminist to be offended.

Probably a lot of women found it offensive.

I find it tacky.

But I think I know why they picked that cover. To cause controversy. Generate any kind of publicity to get people talking.

Although had she known ahead of time, she would have realized all she had to do wait and join the other singers and musicians suing Trump.

Sabrina Carpenter is in the news suing Trump for using her music without her permission in an immigration enforcement video.

Ask me if I know Sabrina Carpenter?

I know her now!

She have a rivalry with Olivia Rodrigo but Rodrigo also called out Ice for using her music and said dont use my music for your racist campaign. (Rodrigo is Filipino American). Sometimes rivals will be in solidarity for the same cause. They dont want to be associated with ICE

Trump took over the program for the Kennedy Center Honors. One of the award recipients was Sylvester Stallone. Tom Cruise “conveniently” had scheduling conflicts, so he couldn't show up.

At any rate, I didn't watch the program that I used to enjoy. I came across a video short, and it seems that Sylvester Stallone accepted the award. After all, it is a high honor. But he refused to shake Trump's hand.

The trick of using a controversial cover is an old-fashioned way to get people talking in the street. They know that strange things create a lot of discussion and make everyone want to see what's inside. This is just a business that aims to gain quick fame through people's words without much cost.

The music industry thrives on shock value. By making a cover like this, her team guarantees that everyone is talking about her.

Some album covers spark controversy due to provocative artwork perceived as offensive by certain audiences. Artists use imagery to challenge norms, leading to debates about freedom of expression and cultural sensitivities in music marketing and reception.
