How much do actors earn from old series

Postby mrki444 » Yesterday, 18:25

How much do you think actors earn from series filmed a few years ago?

While they were filming the series, they earned a lot and did not know how long they would be popular. Some have signed good contracts and still earn a lot, while others get little or nothing. Here is a short list.

Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond) – earns almost $18 million per year

Lisa Kudrow (Friends) – confirmed that she earns around $20 million per year from reruns

Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) – reportedly earns around $8.5 million per year from reruns.

Pamela Anderson (The Rescuers) – earns just $4,000 per year from reruns, and hasn’t received a cent since the series was added to Amazon Prime in 2019.
Mandy Moore (This Is Us) – receives extremely small checks of just 81 cents for reruns of the series.

Kimiko Glenn (Orange is the New Black) – earned just $27.30 from reruns on Netflix.

Bob Saget (Full House) – stated that the royalties from this series were negligible ($2 to $2,000) because he was neither the owner nor the executive producer of the series.

Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) – receives nothing (not even a share of the earnings) from Netflix for broadcasting this series.

Most popular Netflix pay less money than anyother service. Should they get more?

Depends on the contract, series and actor. Probably some actors signed a contract saying they won't get residuals and as a result, they get nothing even though their shows are popular. If you're a main character on a popular show and your contract doesn't waive residuals, then you'll likely get a fat check.

One of the things actors were fighting for during the strike was to get residuals for streaming. I believe they currently get no/low residuals for streaming which really hurts them because very few people watch reruns on networks or buys DVDs any more.
